St Peter's Church

North Street OUNDLE PE8 4AL Oundle Peterborough

http://www.oundlestpeters.org.uk/

At Oundle St Peter’s our aim is to be a church in the community and for the community.  Here you will find a warm welcome whatever your background. At the heart of all that we do is a love for growing as followers of Jesus.  We warmly welcome you to join our diverse community – a family of people of all ages and outlooks.

From the youngest to the oldest we all matter to God and to each other.  Whether you are just exploring faith, are new to the area, want to make new friends or have been a Christian for ages we would love to meet you and you are very welcome to join us.

From the Tiny Tots group who turn the building into a play area and the senior citizens who enjoy carpet bowls and lemon drizzle cake to the teenagers at the West Porch Café we welcome everyone.

St Peter’s Church building stands in the middle of the market town of Oundle and there has been a Christian community right here since long before 709 – the year that a Saxon saint called Wilfrid died in the Church that stood on the spot where St Peter’s Church building now stands.

Like the generations that have gone before us our aim at St Peter’s is that we become a community that puts Jesus at the centre of all we do. The Jesus we encounter in the Bible is a person of generosity, forgiveness, compassion, service and above all love. One of His followers wrote that those who want to follow Jesus ‘must live as Jesus did'. So at St Peter’s we are trying to become a community that shows the same generosity, forgiveness, compassion, service – and love - that Jesus showed. We warmly welcome you to join us as together we enjoy exploring what it means to be a follower of Jesus.
